The G5 is Ping’s best-selling driver ever, but that didn’t stop the company from
tweaking its design for something better. Although the
G10 has new cosmetics,
taller face and deeper crown, the real change is internal. Engineers
repositioned weight saved from the thinner face and crown to lower the center of
gravity. Our launch-monitor tests confirmed a high launch angle, which
resulted in impressive distance (see chart). Testers loved the club’s classic
look and aeronautically charged performance. Says a 17, who uses a G5: “I didn’t
think the G5 could really be improved upon, but not only was the G10 every bit
as long, it was also more forgiving. Goodbye, G5.”
